Convert HTML file to TIFF

Built-in browser tools cannot convert HTML files to the TIFF format – this type of task requires special software. Universal Document Converter uses virtual printing technology to easily convert HTML files to the TIFF format. In addition, the software offers powerful settings that are able to take control over the conversion process. As a result, the converted files can be used for a wide variety of applications.

Please follow this manual to start converting HTML files.

  1. Download and install Universal Document Converter.

  2. Open the web page in Internet Explorer. In the main menu, go to Tools->Internet Options->Advanced. In the Printing section check the Print Background colors and images option and press OK.

  3. To remove the page header and footer from the output PDF file, press File->Page Setup in the main menu. Remove any text from the Header and Footer fields and press OK.

  4. Press File->Print… in the Internet Explorer main menu.

  5. Select Universal Document Converter from the list of printers and press Preferences button.

  6. On the settings panel, click Load Properties.

  7. Use the Open dialog to select "Web page to PDF.xml" and click Open.

  8. Select TIFF image on the File Format tab and click OK to close the Universal Document Converter Properties window.

  9. Press Print button to start conversion. When the TIFF file is ready, it will be saved to the My Documents\UDC Output Files folder by default.

  10. The converted document will then be opened by the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer software or another viewer associated with the TIFF files on your computer.
