Save as Searchable PDF

When you save your documents or presentations as searchable PDF files, all the links the documents contain will be active. Besides, the text will be accessible for search in Adobe Reader and Google indexing if published on the website. Last but not least, the file size of a searchable PDF is usually smaller than the one of a bitmapped PDF.

Please follow the instruction to convert your document to searchable PDF:

  1. Open the document and click Print
  2. Select Universal Document Converter from the list and click Properties
  3. Go to File Format, select PDF Document as output format and select Searchable PDF (like on the screenshot below)
  4. Click OK to start saving a document as a Searchable PDF.

Change PDF type: searchable or bitmapped

«I use all of the MS Office programs with the Universal Document Converter being an indispensable addition for creating PDF files and converting files to JPG and TIF file formats. The Universal Document Converter is intuitive in its structure, easy to handle and, most importantly, extremely reliable. Currently, I am using the 6.0 version on Windows 7 and I am very happy with it.»
